INSOL International’s Kuala Lumpur Seminar – 28 November 2017

INSOL International is the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals. It is a world-wide federation of national associations for accountants and lawyers who specialise in turnaround and insolvency.

INSOL International will be holding its first-ever event in Malaysia with its Kuala Lumpur One Day Seminar on 28 November 2017 at the KL Hilton.

The registration brochure can be downloaded here. The registration fee for Malaysian delegates will be at a heavily discounted rate of GBP180 and the deadline for registration is on 10 November 2017.

The programme will include the following topics:

  1. Cross-border resolution and restructuring in a modern environment – the panel will explore the use of cross-border restructuring options, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 and Schemes of Arrangement.
  2. Legal developments and legislative change in Asia – the panel will focus on key legislative changes in Malaysia, Singapore and India and what it means for practitioners moving forward.
  3. The challenges facing the restructuring and insolvency profession.
  4. Restructuring and insolvency outlook – boom or bust times ahead

The speakers will be drawn from a wide range of jurisdictions, including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Australia.

I am chairing the second session on the legal developments in Asia and I am also involved as a member of the organising committee of the seminar. This seminar will definitely be an eye-opener and will cover a very international range of topics.

TheMalaysianLawyer.com will later post up a report of the INSOL Kuala Lumpur seminar.
